Minor modifications to the aforementioned schedule may occur on Tuesdays. If a renal biopsy is scheduled, it is always performed at 7:00 AM, which consequently shifts laboratory sample collections, impacting administrative tasks.

Appointments

Patients can schedule a nephrological examination from Monday to Thursday between 11:00 AM and 12:00 PM, provided they have a referral slip and basic laboratory results. Patients are examined sequentially, according to their appointment time. For a first examination, it is best to come in person to make an appointment (it is necessary to instruct the patient regarding specific laboratory tests).

Staff

Nurse Jana Labudová is available throughout the outpatient clinic’s operating hours. MUDr. Martin Bezák conducts outpatient activities during the hours reserved for medical examinations.

The outpatient clinic provides comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic care for patients with kidney diseases such as acute and chronic glomerulonephritis (including secondary forms – e.g., in systemic, hematological, endocrine diseases), diabetic nephropathy, tubulopathies, urinary tract infections, kidney dysfunction due to congenital developmental anomalies, and polycystic kidney degeneration. For patients with acute and chronic renal insufficiency, the clinic provides not only treatment but also special educational and counseling activities, and in cooperation with dialysis centers in Nitra, it prepares patients for dialysis treatment (both hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis preparation are available).
