appropriate type of care, using the <strong>Manchester Triage System<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Comprehensive diagnostics and treatment of acute conditions<\/strong><br \/>(e.g., chest pain, respiratory distress, sudden loss of consciousness, strokes, sudden decompensation of chronic diseases)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Acute surgical care<\/strong> for sudden abdominal emergencies and other acute surgical conditions<\/li>\n<li><strong>Trauma care<\/strong> including treatment of musculoskeletal injuries and other acute injuries<\/li>\n<li><strong>Monitoring and stabilization of critically ill patients<\/strong> until transfer to the appropriate specialist department<\/li>\n<li><strong>After 3:00 PM<\/strong> examinations for ENT and urological patients requiring immediate specialist assistance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>When to visit the emergency department<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Loss of consciousness or sudden weakness on one side of the body, tension headache not responding to over-the-counter medication, double vision, speech impairment<\/li>\n<li>Sudden pain, pressure, or burning in the chest, or difficulty breathing<\/li>\n<li>Acute injuries, burns<\/li>\n<li>Sudden abdominal pain, severe allergic reactions, feverish states not responding to over-the-counter antipyretics<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For minor illnesses (e.g., colds, sore throats, chronic health problems without worsening), we recommend contacting your general practitioner or the out-of-hours emergency service for adults\/children.<\/p>\n<h3>Treatment process<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Triage<\/strong> \u2013 assessment of the urgency of the health condition using the <strong>Manchester Triage System<\/strong> performed by a doctor or nurse. <strong>Acute and life-threatening conditions take priority.<\/strong> Patients brought in by emergency medical services are also subject to the triage system.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Collection of biological material, ECG recording, measurement of vital life-threatening conditions, as well as patients brought in by emergency medical services.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We ask for your understanding that <strong>due to high patient volumes and capacity limitations, waiting times for treatment of less serious conditions may be longer<\/strong>.
