Examination and monitoring of patients with other macular diseases (ERM, macular holes, peripheral retinal holes, retinoschisis, choroidal nevi and tumors, chorioretinitis). Indication for conservative and surgical treatment.<\/p>\n
Specialized examinations:<\/strong><\/p>\n Fluorescein angiography (FA)<\/strong>: A minimally invasive examination of the retina and retinal vessels using a contrast agent administered intravenously, followed by photography of the ocular fundus with filters. The photodocumentation displays pathological changes in the vessels and retina in the macular area (the center of the retina), identifying the neovascular membrane, its extent, and involvement of the retinal center.<\/p>\n Macular OCT examination<\/strong>: A non-invasive examination of the retinal layers in the area of the yellow spot (macula), used to monitor changes in the retinal layers and identify retinal swelling in the central part, which significantly impairs the vision of patients with wet AMD, epiretinal membranes, and other diseases.<\/p>\n Macular Angio-OCT: <\/strong>A non-invasive examination of the vascular pattern of individual retinal layers in the area of the yellow spot, used to monitor capillary network disorders and detect the early occurrence of neovascular membranes in the central part, which may cause vision deterioration in patients with age-related macular degeneration.<\/p>\n Surgical procedures<\/strong>:<\/p>\n Retinal laser photocoagulation<\/strong>: Fixation of the retina using an argon laser around peripheral tears (laser retinopexy), performed on an outpatient basis under local drop anesthesia through a contact funduscopic lens placed on the eye.
